How to Dress for Your Ice Palace Adventure!

The Ice Palace is a magical experience thats sure to deliver magnificent winter views and plenty of spaces that are waiting to be explored! To create the best experience possible, below are some tips on what to wear when coming to the Ice Palace!
1.) DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
Eastern Idaho gets COLD! The average temperature during the Ice Palace is anywhere from 14 degrees to 35 degrees! Add freezing wind chill factor on top of that and you're sure to feel a little frozen! It's best to dress like you're going skiing! Think big winter coat, snow pants, boots, beanie, gloves, etc. We even recommend bringing hand warmers! Trust us, you'll be grateful you have them!
2.) WATERPROOF SHOES ARE A MUST
The ground of the Ice Palace is made of a crushed-up ice material that resembles snow! That means you'll be walking in a snow-like material throughout your visit. Warm waterproof shoes are a must for your toes to remain cozy during your adventure.
3.) BRING EXTRA GLOVES FOR YOUR KIDS
Kids LOVE the Ice Palace! However, gloves and mittens tend to get lost in the snow. We highly recommend bringing an extra pair of gloves just in case. Forgot them at home? No problem! Pick up a pair from our brand new Ice Palace Gift Shop opening December 2021!
BONUS TIP! Walking around the Ice Palace will tire kids out fast! Swap your stroller for a sled to pull your little ones in!
